Tom Chaplin Tickets For Autumn UK Tour On Sale 10am Today

Tom Chaplin has announced a new studio album, along with a UK tour for the autumn. Tom Chaplin tickets go on sale at 10am today.
The Keane frontman has confirmed 13 shows during October, with stops lined up in Leicester, Southend, Cambridge, Manchester, York, Newcastle, Glasgow, Liverpool, Cardiff, Bath, Eastbourne, Birmingham and London, where he’ll perform at the Palladium.
The news comes with details of his first album for BMG, ’Midpoint’, which is scheduled to arrive on September 2. Produced by Ethan Johns, the emotion-fuelled record is previewed by the soaring title track, which arrives with a Lucy Bridger-directed video starring Niamh Cusack. Take a look below.
Talking about the new music, Chaplin commented: "I was like, wow, these are bare compared to what I’m used to. And I did find it frightening because with Keane records there’s so much layering to thicken things up and fill up the spaces. But this is a sparse record.
"There’s space for something nuanced that explores a part of life that everyone goes through. If I can get some of that across and it can resonate with something people are feeling in their lives - well, I’d be more than happy with that."
The 43-year-old’s last solo LP was 2016’s ’The Wave’, though he put out the festive record ’Twelve Tales Of Christmas’ in 2017.
