City and Colour has announced a new album.

Dallas Green will release 'Love Still Held Me Near', the follow-up to 2019's 'A Pill For Loneliness', on March 31 through the Dine Alone Records imprint Still Records. He explained how it deals with the passing away of his best friend in 2019:

"The Love Still Held Me Near was born out of unimaginable loss and the subsequent journey through the grief and heartache that followed. It’s about digging deep down into yourself and attempting to unearth hope and light in the things that can comfort you through those times. For me that has always been writing and recording music, so that’s exactly what I did."

Green produced the record with his longtime band member and collaborator Matt Kelly, who has also toured with Green's other band Alexisonfire. As a preview, he's shared the single Underground, an expansive folk-tinged rock track that counsels you to live your life to its fullest before it's too late.

Check it out below alongside the previously released opening track Meant To Be. Underground's video will premiere on YouTube at 10pm GMT tonight (January 19).
