Heriot Announce Debut Headline UK Tour For May, Share New Single Demure

Wednesday, 15 February 2023 Written by Jon Stickler

Heriot are back with their first single of 2023.

Opening with an atmospheric, industrial soundscape and punishing chugs that give way to the demonic vocals of Debbie Gough, the dark Demure races off around its midpoint into blistering, vicious metallic-hardcore territory. Press play below.

It marks the Swindon band's first new material since their acclaimed 2022 debut EP, 'Profound Morality'. Singer and guitarist Gough commented:

"Demure depicts the conflict of remaining integral in a world overwhelmed by scrutiny. It sheds light on the loss of being an individual while attempting the unattainable pursuit of neutrality. This is the first new music released since our debut EP, 'Profound Morality', and opens a new era for Heriot which we are very excited to begin!"

The song comes with news that the band will hit the road for their debut headline tour across the UK in May, with stops confirmed in Bournemouth, London, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham and Glasgow. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on February 16.
