Porno For Pyros have released a new seasonal song, Pete's Dad.
The emotive acoustic guitar-led track reflects on the band spending Christmas time with guitarist Peter DiStefano's father, while telling the story of how he survived cancer against the odds. DiStefano commented:
"Best friends are people of action, when Porno for Pyros created this song Pete’s Dad, that’s when I knew these band of men were my best friends."
The standalone single follows the Los Angeles alt-rock legends' first new song in 26 years, Agua, which will appear on an upcoming EP, due out in February.
The band, which features DiStefano and Martyn LeNoble alongside Jane's Addiction members Perry Farrell and Stephen Perkins, will embark on a 16-date farewell tour on February 13 in Santa Ana, California. Tickets are on sale.
