Metz Announce Fifth Album 'Up On Gravity Hill', Share New Tracks 99 And Entwined (Street Light Buzz)

Metz have laid out plans for their fifth album and first in four years.
'Up On Gravity Hill' will arrive on April 12 via Sub Pop / Dine Alone, following up 2020's 'Atlas Vending'.
Engineered by Seth Manchester, it features guest appearances from composer and string arranger Owen Pallett, and Black Mountain's Amber Webber.
Head below to hear two new songs, the foot-stomping 99 and the more melodic, anthemic Entwined (Street Light Buzz). The band’s Alex Edkins shared in a statement:
"These two songs couldn’t be more stylistically and thematically dissimilar. Entwined (Street Light Buzz) is a song about the deep connection humans can foster with one another and how we carry people with us forever, even after death. 99 is about the scourge of corporate greed and bottom-line thinking that runs rampant in modern society. Anything for a buck is the message being sent to younger generations."
The Toronto punk trio have also announced a spring North American tour with Gouge Away, as well as UK and European shows for November. Tickets are on sale now.
