Luke Hemmings is back with another single, Close My Eyes.
Following the melancholic Shakes, the glistening synth-led pop track offers a more bright, soaring taster of the 5 Seconds Of Summer singer's upcoming solo EP, 'Boy', due out on April 26 via Arista Records.
"I’m elated to share the next chapter from boy - a song called Close My Eyes. I wrote this as I headed into my late 20's and felt an unavoidable wave of fear and anxiety towards the inevitable death of my youth. I found myself unable to sleep because every time I tried; it was as if a film of my life was projected onto the back of my eyelids. The mistakes, successes, everything that could have been and everything that was. I felt physical growing pains of becoming a fully realized version of myself while having to say goodbye to the past."
Following the EP's release, Hemmings will hit the road for the spring UK and European leg of his Nostalgia For A Time That Never Existed Tour, with shows scheduled in Paris, Milan, Warsaw, Cologne, Amsterdam, Glasgow, Manchester and London.
He'll then tour North America between May 21 and June 6, before heading back to his native Australia for shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Tickets for all dates are on sale.
