Little Simz has pushed back the release of her sixth studio album.
The Mercury Prize, BRIT and MOBO Award-winning rapper will now release 'Lotus' through AWAL Recordings on June 6, instead of May 9 as originally announced.
Simz confirmed the news with a post on Instagram, explaining that the decision was made, "due to a scheduling of shooting a movie that just came in."
She continued: "Not ideal for me or you I know, trust me I’ve tried many ways around it but just means I can’t do the film otherwise. If there was ever a time I ask for your grace and patience it is now."
Simz has previously played Shelley in Netflix's revival of Top Boy, and she appeared as herself in the Spider-Man film, Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Her acting career began with a role in the BBC children's series Spirit Warriors, originally broadcast in 2010.
Simz previously teased the follow-up to 2022's 'No Thank You' with the singles Free in March and Flood in February.
This summer, she'll curate and perform at the 30th edition of Meltdown Festival, which takes over London's Southbank Centre between June 12 and 22, with additional performances from The Streets, Ghetts, Jon Batiste, Lola Young, and more. Head here for more details.
