The first names have been confirmed for this year's LOUD WOMEN Fest.
Set to perform at the Rich Mix in London for the event's 10th anniversary on September 6 are Death Pill, a hardcore punk trio from Kyiv, Ukraine who are supported by the British Council in Ukraine, in partnership with the Ukrainian Institute and the Cultural Diplomacy Foundation. LOUD WOMEN founder, musician and lecturer, Cassie Fox said:
“Death Pill embodies everything LOUD WOMEN stands for – not just music but resilience, activism, and global solidarity. We are proud to support them and amplify their voice at our 10th-anniversary festival. This is a perfect example of how punk and DIY music can transcend borders and foster solidarity across cultures and identities.”
Also announced for the line-up are New York band Bad Static, London's Be N!ce, Burry from Canada, four-time UK beatbox champion Grace Savage, and Bristol punks The Menstrual Cramps, plus Hot Wife, Lesley Woods, Liberty's Mother, Loose Articles, Luxury Nan Smell, Piney Gir, Playing Alice, Sorry Darling, T@b Grrrl, Twat Union and I, Doris. Fox added:
“LOUD WOMEN Fest’s 10th anniversary isn’t just about looking back at what we’ve achieved – it’s about continuing to amplify voices that continue to be marginalised in music. LOUD WOMEN is about creating an inclusive, trans-inclusive space for female and non-binary musicians. Hot on the heels of LOUD WOMEN Fests in Melbourne and New York, this year’s London festival is a celebration of that mission, and we’re incredibly excited to showcase so many talented artists from all around the world.”
LOUD WOMEN Fest has previously showcased acts such as Nova Twins, Big Joanie, HotWax, Grace Petrie, Desperate Journalist, Petrol Girls, Pleasure Venom, ARXX and Lambrini Girls.
