Westlife will celebrate 25 years of hits with two special London shows this autumn. Westlife tickets go on general sale at 10am today.
The Irish pop stars will perform as a trio — Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne and Kian Egan —at the Royal Albert Hall on October 27 and 28, accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. Announcing the shows on social media, they said:
"We can’t quite believe it’s been 25 years of Westlife… and what a journey it’s been. To kick off the celebrations, we’re so excited to announce two very special shows at the Royal Albert Hall in London with the incredible Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. It will be a wonderful night full of music and memories and we can’t wait to celebrate with you. There are so many exciting things to come and this is only the beginning. Happy 25th to us all!"
In another statement posted to their social media, they confirmed Mark Feehily would not be joining them for the anniversary shows: "Sadly, Mark will be unable to join the celebrations. We hope he can join us back on stage when he is ready and able. He sends his love and positivity as always." Nothing was mentioned about Brian McFadden, who left the group in the early noughties.
Westlife released their most recent album, ’Wild Dreams’, in 2021. More recently, in spring 2024 the group played their first run of North American shows.
