The Family Battenberg have announced their debut EP.
Pulling inspiration from Ty Segall, The Black Angels, and Iggy Pop's 1977 debut album 'The Idiot', 'Spider Rock Forever' was recorded at Tom Rees's studio while the Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard frontman was away on holiday. Long-time collaborator Eddie Al-Shakarchi, known for his work with Boy Azooga, Loathe and Swim Deep, took care of mastering.
Ahead of the six-track project's release on October 10, the South Wales garage-rockers have shared Foggy, a fuzz-drenched psych-rock track that captures the headspace of a dreamer, written after way too little sleep. It follows their earlier single Anteater, released in April.
The four-piece will celebrate the EP with a headline performance at Cardiff's Clwb Ifor Bach on October 31, which will precede their previously announced UK tour in November. Tickets for the new Welsh date go on general sale at 10am on Thursday (September 4), while the other gigs are on sale now.
