Vocalist Alissa White-Gluz Parts Ways With Arch Enemy

Tuesday, 25 November 2025 Written by Jon Stickler

Vocalist Alissa White-Gluz has left Arch Enemy.

After 12 years with the Swedish melodic death-metallers, the Canadian singer revealed that they have "parted ways" with a post on social media, adding that she is, "forever thankful to the thousands of amazing fans I have met along the way." She wrote:

"After 12 years in Arch Enemy, we have parted ways. I am forever thankful to the thousands of amazing fans I have met along the way.

Thank you, Beastlings! ⚓️

I can’t wait to share what I have been working on with you all (with some big surprises in store).

Stay tuned for big news in 2026 and see you very soon."

Similarly, the band kept their statement brief, writing of Alissa: "Arch Enemy have parted ways with singer Alissa White-Gluz. We're thankful for the time and music we've shared and wish her all the best. Wherever there is an ending, there is also a beginning. See you in 2026."

Since joining the band in 2014, replacing former singer Angela Gossow, White-Gluz sang on 2014's 'War Eternal', 2017's 'Will To Power', 2022's 'Deceivers' and this year's 'Blood Dynasty'.

Arch Enemy are set to perform at a number of European festivals next summer, though they're yet to name a replacement vocalist.

Before joining Arch Enemy, White-Gluz co-founded Canadian metalcore band The Agonist in 2004, releasing three albums and gaining recognition for her vocals that blend growls and melodic singing.

Over the weekend, she released a new solo single titled The Room Where She Died, the first preview of a forthcoming solo album. She shared:

"The Room Where She Died is a song that feels truly satisfying to me; like I get to express myself in so many ways that have been dormant for years. This upcoming album is diverse; and I love the idea of opening up this new chapter with this song and video, which I wrote the script for."
