Fat Dog, Idlewild And Shame Lead First Wave Of Acts Announced For Focus Wales 2026

The first wave of acts have been announced for next year's Focus Wales.

Returning for its 16th edition, the festival will take over venues in Wrexham, North Wales, featuring over 300 international artists performing across multiple stages, more than 500 music industry professionals, and a programme of interactive sessions, stand-up comedy, arts events, and film screenings.

Continuing its commitment to diversity, the 2026 festival line-up features not only Welsh talent but also artists from across the globe, including England, Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, Australia, Scotland, USA, Bulgaria, South Korea, Serbia, South Africa, France, Belgium, Portugal and Switzerland.

Leading the first 75 acts announced are Fat Dog, Idlewild, and Shame. They’ll be joined by Moonchild Sanelly, Deerhoof, Gwenno, The Moonlandingz, The Bug Club, Bill Ryder-Jones, Tristwch y Fenywod, Ben Ellis, CLT DRP, Yard, Alpha Male Tea Party, Breichiau Hir, CHROMA, HMS Morris, Internet Fatigue, and many more listed below. Co-founder and Head of Music at Focus Wales, Andy Jones explained:

"There’s much more to come, but this first announcement already reflects the spirit of the festival at its best — forward-thinking artists from around the world, bold new voices from Wales and the wider UK, and a shared sense of creativity that crosses borders and traditions. I think our audiences will feel that energy the moment they arrive."
