Jools Holland has announced a new tour with his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra.
Following their previously announced spring and summer dates, they will hit the road again later this year with one of the UK's most renowned soul singers Roachford joining them at all shows.
The new run will begin with two nights at Cliffs Pavilion in Southend-on-Sea on October 29 and 30, include two nights at London's Royal Albert Hall, and arena shows as well as theatre performances, before concluding at Cardiff's Utilita Arena on December 20.
Opening each show will be Joe Webb, one of the UK’s most exciting young pianists and improvisers, and the tour will also feature Ruby Turner, the Boogie Woogie Queen, as well as vocalists Louise Marshall and Sumudu Jayatilaka. Jools Holland said:
“I’m absolutely delighted to be heading out again with our big band. Having Roachford join us for every night of the tour is a real joy – he’s one of the great soul voices this country has produced, and every time he sings the room lights up. With the mighty Orchestra, our wonderful boogie woogie singers, and the brilliant Joe Webb opening the shows, we’re in for some very special evenings of music.”
Tickets for the new autumn and winter dates go on general sale at 10am this Friday (January 30). Tickets for the spring and summer shows are already on sale.
Holland's last album, 2024's 'Swing Fever', saw him team up with Rod Stewart.
