Enter Shikari have surprise released a new album.
Arriving via So Recordings, 'Lose Your Self' comprises 12 tracks exploring feelings of despair and frustration with the state of the world, while inducing moments of hope and optimism. In a statement accompanying the release, frontman Rou Reynolds said:
"We’re delighted to present Lose Your Self, and give people the chance to hear a Shikari record like never before - as a cohesive whole.
"We want people to go on a proper journey with this album, and see where it takes them. No lead up, no singles, and no explanation. Forcing the listener to actually listen, without being drip-fed ideas out of context, or spoon-fed explanations.
"We simply present it all, for the listener to immerse themself in.
"Releasing in this way was also a decision to not be distracted by chart races, or accolades and “things”.
"We got the No.1 album on our last record. This is simply about the music being presented in a natural way.
"Despite turning out to be one our darkest and heaviest albums to date, it also preaches hope and offers answers.
"Shikari will always offer hope, because without hope there is no action. We’ll just always offer it with a dose of realism."
Alongside the album's release, the St. Albans electronic rock band have scheduled three intimate album launch out-store shows at The Cavern in Liverpool, The Fighting Cocks in Kingston and London's Signature Brew between April 23 and 25, following a sold-out date at The Academy in Dublin on April 21.
Tickets for the new shows go on general sale at 12pm on April 15, except for the Kingston performance, which goes on sale at 9am.
The four-piece will also tour Australia next month, followed by a North American trek spread across two legs, with East Coast dates in June and West Coast shows in September and October, before gigs across Europe and the UK later in the autumn. Tickets for those dates are on sale now and every ticket sold for their UK dates will include a £1 donation to LIVE Trust, which helps protect and support the grassroots music ecosystem across the UK.
The tour marks the band's first run of arena shows since their A Kiss For The Whole World Tour in 2024, which celebrated their 2023 album of the same name. The run included a major London show at the OVO Arena Wembley, which they recorded and released as the 'Live At Wembley' album in 2025.
