Ricky Gervais has announced the first dates for a new stand-up tour of the UK. Ricky Gervais tickets go on general sale at 10am today, with a portion of the proceeds going to charity.
The award-winning comic, actor and writer has confirmed 13 initial shows for Ricky Gervais: Legend, spanning September to December, with more arena dates across the UK, Europe and North America to be confirmed later.
He'll play theatre dates in Guildford, Cambridge, St. Albans, Manchester, Woking, Watford, and Basingstoke — where he'll play two nights — between September 1 and November 5, before heading to Birmingham's Utilita Arena, Brighton Centre, Cardiff's Utilita Arena, Sheffield's Utilita Arena and Newcastle's Utilita Arena between November 9 and December 10. On the tour, Gervais said:
"This is my most personal show so far and because both cancel culture, and most people I knew growing up, are dead, I can really say what the fuck I want now."
Netflix has already purchased the rights to stream the recorded special for an undisclosed amount, with Gervais adding: "I’m not saying how much they’re paying me this time, but I can say it’s my favourite deal so far."
Gervais' four previous tours, Humanity, Supernature, Armageddon and Mortality, all topped the Netflix charts when released, with Armageddon and Mortality earning him Golden Globes for Best TV Stand-Up in 2024 and 2026, respectively.
Gervais has been teasing new material with his Ricky Gervais & Friends: New Material Nights residency in London, which continues with new dates at Leicester Square Theatre on June 29 and 30.
