Ezra Collective Tease 'Here Because Of Hope' With New Single Well Organised Featuring Lila Iké

Ezra Collective have released a new single, Well Organised.
Interpolating Max Romeo's classic I Chase The Devil and blending a steel pan melody with the soulful vocals of Jamaican singer Lila Iké, the track celebrates Jamaica's musical roots through the Mercury Prize and BRIT-winning London group's unique jazz-inspired sound. Bandleader Femi Koleoso said:
"I was spending time with the Kinetika Bloco Youth Club; they were playing steel pans and the most beautiful line caught my attention. I recorded it on my phone and lived with it. It had the emotion and beauty that I associate with dancehall, bashment, reggae and so many other beautiful sounds that come from Jamaica. We began to build stories, melodies and rhythms one by one. When it felt like home, we called our sister Lila Iké to furnish the house with love and good vibes."
Following the spring single Only Love featuring Pa Salieu, it marks the second preview of the band's fourth album, 'Here Because Of Hope', which traces the journey of Black music from Africa, through the Caribbean and into Britain. It's set to arrive on September 18 via Partisan.
Ezra Collective headlined their Temple Of Joy showcase at Love Supreme Festival last Friday (July 3) and play Henley Festival this week and Lost Village in Lincolnshire on August 30, alongside further summer dates across Europe.
They'll also appear at LA Jazz Festival next month, followed by their biggest global headline tour to date, which will head across Australia, Asia, the US and Europe, before wrapping up with a UK and Ireland trek that includes two nights at London's O2 Academy Brixton in March 2027.
