Stereophonics Reveal Details For Forthcoming DVD Release

ImageStereophonics have revealed details of their forthcoming DVD, the companion to the bands previous album 'Language. Sex. Violence. Other?'

Language. Sex. Violence. Other? the DVD, is released on July 31st and incorporates the making of the bands fifth studio album, the addition of drummer Javier Weyler, the 2005 world tour, promo videos for four single releases, Dakota, Superman, Devil and Rewind, through to the production of Dakota Live, their live album.



Presented and produced by Stereophonics themselves, this exclusive documentary tracks the band from spring 2004, through to winter of 2005. Packed with never-before-seen on tour interviews and behind the scenes footage, this is the closest look at the band yet.

The 30 minute documentary contains personal footage from the band and Jim Lowe, and shows the band as they return from touring in 2004 and start recording the demos which would go on to Language. Sex. Violence. Other? album tracks. The band takes the camera along to film those first recording sessions at The Stone Rooms and Sahara Sound, along with co-producer Jim Lowe.

The band goes on to take fans through the evolution of the Language. Sex. Violence. Other? album process from the recording of the original demos to the making of the finished album at Hook End studios. This is followed by designer Graham Rounthwaite talking through the concepts behind the artwork, continues with an interview with video director Charles Mehling talking through the process of conceptualising the four videos and working alongside the band concluding thier world tour and with the release of thier live album Live From Dakota.

And for those fans who missed out on the bands sell out 2005 world tour, Language. Sex. Violence. Other? the DVD offers a chance to catch thier rocking live show. Each track is given a stellar performance, but highlights from the set include Mr. Writer from 2001's Just Enough Education To Perform album, Just Looking taken from 1999's Performance and Cocktails album, and the top ten singles Maybe Tomorrow and Madame Helga from 2003's You Gotta Go There To Come Back and from 2005's Langauge. Sex. Violence. Other? thier first ever UK No. 1 Dakota.

Since performing in the mid 90's, Stereophonics have released four successive number one albums. Thier fifth Language. Sex. Violence. Other?, described by NME as an excellent modern rock record. Dense, intelligent and challenging, has already gone double platinum status in the UK since its release in March 2005, spawning a No. 1 single Dakota.
