A scientist once hypothesised that Australian sunshine has a stimulating effect on the music centre of the brain, Nimoy’s Drum. When his peers stopped laughing, they snapped his thermometer and washed his labcoat with a red top so it became pink; a terrible insult in the world of scientists. Temper Trap however are Australian and are really good. So, the question becomes, who’s laughing now? Yep, Temper Trap are and they’re on tour. Click here for tickets.

Formed in Melbourne the band quickly became cult heroes at home. The Antipodes thus conquered, Temper Trap set their sights on the Old World and moved to Britain. Working out of a shared flat in London seems to have worked and they’ve enjoyed sell-out shows and got a single ‘Sweet Disposition’ into the UK top ten.

Their plans for UK domination are proceeding well. The band announced a one-off London show for December 21st which has already sold out. Now, they’ve confirmed that April 2010 will see another one-off gig. Winning fans at a rate that suggests pacts with the devil or Max Clifford, Temper Trap aren’t one to miss.

Their next show is the 28th April 2010 at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire.
