Hole lead singer Courtney Love has spoken out about her true feelings towards the forthcoming film based around her relationship with fellow iconic lead singer Kurt Cobain.
Love and Cobain met backstage at a Butthole Surfers concert in Los Angeles before they quickly became an item. Little did they know then that their relationship would result in such tabloid infamy. However digging deeper than just the headlines that we have all read, a new film, based on Charles Cross’ acclaimed biography ‘Kurt And Courtney’ is set to reveal another side to the often controversial relationship between the two grunge icons.
Love, speaking to ClashMusic, revealed that she has been heavily involved in the production. "But in consequence I became friends with (Working Title's) Eric Fellner, who produced Sid And Nancy, and Fellner is consequently producing 'Heavier Than Heaven', which is about Kurt and me" Love said.
Giving more details about the hugely anticipated film she continued, "Who's directing? Well, I watched 'The Boat That Rocked' and I know that it got slated but I really liked it, and Eric is pushing for Richard Curtis" she said. "But you know who I'm into?’ The Thick Of It’ guy? Armando Iannucci. This is a big A-list movie. This is when someone goes and gets an Oscar for it."
Still also focussing on her music, Love’s band, Hole, are set to release ‘Nobody’s Daughter’ very soon. This will be their first album in over a decade.
