The legendary crooner Tony Bennett will return to the UK later this year having announced a short summer tour across the country starting on June 30th with a two-night run at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
Born and raised in New York City Anthony Dominick Benedetto, more commonly known as Tony Bennett, started his singing at an early age and went on to achieve his first number one ‘Because Of You’ at the age of 25. Refining his approach to singing and encompassing Jazz into his shows, the singer’s songs were rife in romancing the late 1950’s as he churned out hit after hit.
Famous for songs such as ‘Rags To Riches,’ and signature song ‘I Left My Heart In San Francisco’, the 84-year old continues his remarkably industrious musical output which has seen him release over 70 albums and sell over 50 million records worldwide.
Although the multi-award winning singer hasn’t charted since 1967, his new tour will be a rare opportunity to see and hear the legend in action.
