These days it may be seen as being a little uncool to drop the name ‘Rod Stewart’ into conversation. However, back in his prime the singer had credibility by the bucketload. Starting his career on the RnB circuit, Rod Stewart sang with The Jeff Beck Group before joining legendary 70s band, The Faces.

The Faces had a number of hit albums back in the day but the band are perhaps better know for their boozy concerts, lead by none other than frontman Rod. Leading the way as a true lads band, Rod Stewart and The Faces have inspired everyone from the Black Crows to Oasis.

Having embarked on a lengthy solo career ‘Rod The Mod’ has since left his rowdy days behind him and turned his hand to some classic soul covers. Confirming a massive UK tour last year, Rod Stewart has now added six more extra dates.

Kicking off with a show in Sheffield on May 11th, the arena tour will see the superstar roll back the years before countless fans. Now due to play a total of 24 shows, amongst the new additions are a Glasgow date. With his well known love of Caledonia, the singer is now set to play Glasgow’s SECC alongside shows in Edinburgh Castle and a Highland show at the Caledonin Stadium in Inverness.

Rod Stewart has added the following dates:

July

20th Sheffield Arena
21st Liverpool Echo Arena
26th Glasgow SECC
28th London O2
30th Belfast Odyssey
31 Dublin The O2

Tickets are available to buy from 9am on 29th January.
