The indie pop stars are amongst a number of bands, some still unannounced, that will play at the hotel for the duration of the summer and also play the annual summer bash at the Ibiza Rocks hotel.

Releasing their debut album in 2006 and becoming instant chart heroes, The Kooks jaunty, happy sound was just the surface of a serious love of music with the band playing almost daily tributes to their heroes such as The Kinks songwriting legend Ray Davies.

With the granted permission to use The Kinks star’s studio to record their second album ‘Konk’, it was evident that The Kooks were showing rapid maturity in songwriting talent. The album went on to spawn several hit singles.

Recently the band has taken time off to write and record new material and now the Brighton group are set to return for the launch gig at new Ibiza hotel, Mallorca Rocks, on 6th June.

The band have said that they will be previewing songs from their forthcoming third album as well as the classics, as frontman Luke Pritchard revealed his excitement for the show. "Can't wait to play the new album to a crowd like that, if they’re anything like the Ibizan crowd. We shall see you all there in the sun."

Like the rock 'n' roll Ibiza Rocks hotel, Mallorca Rocks hotel will feature exclusive performances from live bands, with more acts to be announced later. A lavish new venue for the little cousin of the White Island famed for its dance scene which has recently become a hub for hosting some stellar live performances.

Tickets for The Kooks live launch show at the new hotel are on sale now.
