10 Billionth Track Bought on iTunes

The iTunes store crossed a monumental landmark this week, after reaching its 10 billionth track sold. The buyers details have not been released, but the lucky soul won a $10,000 (£6,500) iTunes gift card.

The Black Eyed Peas’I Got A Feeling’ currently sits as the site’s most downloaded track, with their other single ‘Boom Boom Pow’ also in the top three biggest seller list in third place. NME’s Best Dressed/Worst Dressed winner Lady Gaga taking the two slot with ‘Poker Face’.

According to Billboard, the eccentric pop star also has two other tracks in the Top 25 Most Downloaded song; with Just Dance and Bad Romance.

Proving that the most downloaded songs have no accord for taste, Flo Rida, Katy Perry and Rihanna are also credited with two tracks each in the Top 25, whilst UK artists Coldplay and Leona Lewis feature in the top 10.
