The Middle East, an Australian seven-piece ensemble, have been living quietly and comfortably in Queensland's northern villages, the band's hub.
Members may have come and gone from the sunny skies to discover pastures new, but the core of the band have returned and The Middle East are set to take the UK & Ireland by storm with their first ever shows here.
A substantial cult following is surely imminent after the reactions received from press and fans alike to the bands debut EP "The Recordings Of The Middle East" and also their stunning live shows out at SXSW.
The Middle East use various influences in their music, mixing post-rock to folk and even ambience, in the process creating a magical and hypnotic sound fused with great guitar hooks.
The band will hit the UK & Ireland later this year, with headline shows in Manchester, Dublin and London:
JUNE
Fri 25th - Deaf Institute, Manchester
Sat 26th - Sugar Club, Dublin
JULY
Tue 13th - Bush Hall, London
Tickets are onsale Friday at 9am.
