John Power's Cast Reform and Plan UK Tour Dates

Liverpool band Cast have reformed after a nine year hiatus and will embark on a UK tour later this year.

'All Change', Cast's, debut LP was released in 1995 and went on to be the fastest selling debut record for the Polydor record label spawning a series of hit singles. The debut album went on to sell over a million records worldwide and began the bands successful career.

Once described by Oasis' Noel Gallagher as a "religious experience" while watching the band play live, Cast were also aptly described as "The Who of the 90's".

Cast went on to notch up ten Top 10 UK hit singles including 'Fine Time, 'Walkaway', 'Sandstorm', 'Walkaway' and 'Guiding Star'.

Power and co released four studio albums, including 'Mother Nature Calls' and 'Magic Hour', before splitting in 2001 after the release of the unsuccessful 'Beetroot', which charted outside the UK Top 40.

Cast's November 2010 UK tour dates are set to be announced soon.

The Friction of Molecules: Max´mo Park's Paul Smith Talks 'As Long As We Keep Moving'
Tue 19 Feb 2019
Time is constant, but it rarely seems to be on our side. That’s particularly the case for a lot of bands, who are under pressure to maintain standards as their careers progress and, from certain quarters, to keep doing the same thing in perpetuity. Maxïmo Park’s ‘As Long As We Keep Moving’ is an attempt to reckon with that.
Beirut - Gallipoli (Album Review)
Fri 08 Feb 2019
Zach Condon’s fifth album as Beirut is an elegant, if twee, manifestation of his signature sound: sweet melodies woven into culturally diverse arrangements and boxy, distinctive production. It’s a decent record that will reward diehard fans, but it also somehow feels locked in the late ‘00s with Fleet Foxes and the Shins.
Spielbergs - This is Not the End (Album Review)
Fri 15 Feb 2019
To listen to Spielbergs’ debut album, ‘This is Not the End’, is to picture a room of people in black jeans and denim jackets, with the flash of a white sports sock above a tattered pair of Vans classics. It’s to picture sweat, euphoria, a giddy release of hoarse voices and spilled beer. If you are in your 30s, and coming to terms with the fact, it knows you. It feels the same way.
