The Doobie Brothers Announce Return To UK With Autumn Tour & Tickets

American Rockers The Doobie Brothers have announced a return to the UK this autumn with the band set to play a series of dates in October.

Having sold over 30 million albums in the United States alone, its pretty safe to say that the post-hippie country rock outfit are a well established fixture on the stadium rock circuit.

Forming in the early 70s, The Doobie Brothers named themselves after the slang term for marijuana. Earning a strong following throughout Southern California – especially among Hell’s Angels – the band progressed to score a series of hits.

Spawning a string of hits during the 1970s, The Doobie Brothers were regarded as one of the most popular Californian pop/rock bands of the decade. Evolving from a mellow, post-hippie boogie band to a slick, soul-inflected pop band by the 1980s, the group notched up a many US gold and platinum albums and were inducted into The Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004.

Songs such as ‘Listen To The Music’, ‘Black Water’ and ‘China Groove’ can all be re-lived during The Doobie Brothers new UK tour this autumn, when the band visit four UK cities on a short tour across England.
