Death Cab For Cutie are an indie and alternative rock outfit from Bellingham, Washington, currently consisting of Ben Gibbard, Nick Harmer, Jason McGerr, Dave Depper and Zac Rae.

Formed in 1997, the group originally started as a solo endeavour of their frontman whilst performing as a guitarist in another group. However, the project evolved into a fully-fledged band, and they put out their debut album, 'Something About Airplanes', in 1998.

Going on to release nine studio albums to date (for which they've received eight Grammy nominations), many of their records have achieved cult status among the indie and emo scene, particularly 2003's 'Transatlanticism' and 2005's 'Plans'. Their most recent full-length effort came in the shape of 2022's 'Asphalt Meadows'.

Death Cab For Cutie will support the record with a tour of the UK and Ireland in March 2023, following the US leg earlier that year. The band will then head back to North America in June 2023. They will also celebrate 20 years of 'Transatlanticism' and 'Give Up' with a North American co-headline tour with Gibbard's other project, The Postal Service, in the fall.
