Dominic Byrne is a newsreader, radio presenter and musician from Norwich.
Starting his broadcasting career in 1997, he joined BBC Radio 1 in 2004 as the newsreader for The Chris Moyles Show, where he became known for his dry humour and distinctive voice. When Chris Moyles moved to Radio X in 2015, Byrne joined him as the newsreader and regular contributor, continuing his role on the breakfast show. He has also worked as a newsreader for Capital FM, and has appeared on television, providing voiceovers for children's programmes such as Peppa Pig and Space Pirates, as well as several other series. He also co-founded the comedy folk band Folk Face, landing a spot on the Glastonbury Festival bill. Dominic Byrne and his long-time radio co-host Chris Moyles will take over The London Palladium in January 2026 for two nights of stories, stand-up and sketches.
