Du Blonde—also known as Beth Jeans Houghton—is a singer-songwriter and musician from Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Born in 1990, they are known for their psychedelic brand of folk, rock and pop, which has previously been dubbed 'wonky-pop' and 'freak folk'.
Houghton formerly performed as part of Beth Houghton And The Hooves Of Destiny, dropping the album 'Yours Truly, Cellophane Nose' in 2012, and appeared at some of the UK's biggest festivals, including Glastonbury, The Great Escape, Latitude and Bestival. In 2014, they decided to go solo, rebranding themselves as Du Blonde. Their debut as a solo artist, 'Welcome Back to Milk', was released in 2015. They have since put out 'Lung Bread For Daddy' in 2019, and their latest LP, 'Homecoming', in 2021. Du Blonde will take the Homecoming Tour to UK venues in early 2022, with the run including a rescheduled London show.
