Marina is Welsh singer-songwriter and musician Marina Diamandis, formerly know as Marina and the Diamonds. Born in 1985, she hails from Brynmawr in Blaenau Gwent.
Originally looking for girl group and musical auditions in magazines, Marina would make a name for herself after hitting #2 in the BBC Sound of 2010 poll, finishing behind just Ellie Goulding, having impressed with the few singles she had released and her festival performances throughout 2009. Her debut album, 'The Family Jewels', hit shelves in 2010, followed by Marina's second album, 'Electra Heart', two years later. She put out 'Froot' in 2015, a record that landed her in the Top 10 of both the UK and US. Her fourth full-length, 'Love + Fear', landed in 2019. Marina will has announced UK and European dates for spring 2022 supporting her fifth album 'Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land', released in June 2021.
