Reykjavíkurdætur is an Icelandic hip-hop band from Reykjavik formed in 2013. Translated as Daughters of Reykjavík, the band is made up of over twenty musicians. The collective resembles a clan where songs are performed by solo artists, duos and trios, as well as performing altogether, to make for an energetic and fresh live performance.
The band launched a crowdfunding campaign in late 2013 in order to produce their first album, 'RVK DTR', which eventually dropped in 2016. The band are set to head to Cardiff for a performance as part of the city's Festival of Voice i June.
