The Washington Wizards are an American basketball team based out of Washington D.C. Founded in 1961 as a Chicago team, it would first move to Baltimore before settling in the capital in 1974. Originally known as The Bullets, they became the Wizards in '97.
Part of the NBA's Eastern Conference Southeast division, the Wizard's greatest success came without doubt in the '70s, a decade which saw them pick up their only NBA Championship, and all of their ten conference and division titles. Since then, they have struggled to make a massive impact.
