He entered the spotlight in 2017 after uploading a cover of Daft Punk's Get Lucky to the internet - mainly to amuse his friends! After Pharrel gave it the thumbs up, and thousands of views later, Barnett found himself in a scrum of major labels. He took a step back, wanting to keep his independence.
He released his debut album, ‘First Friday’, in 2017, and followed this up with his latest single, Manic Machine, in December of the same year. AKA George is set to play London’s Hoxton Square Bar in May, and will head to Dot To Dot Festival later in the year, too.
