For many, going to shows is a staple hobby, a place for fun and revelling in your love of music. Music has an ability to unite people like little else can, yet we forget that everything in life has an element of risk and danger. A stark reminder of this came at Radiohead's recent Toronto show as the stage collapsed, killing a member of crew. Sadly this isn't the first fatal incident at a show, and sadly it won't likely be the last.

With its hard-driving beats, funky rhythms and stellar pop-centric sensibility, vocalist, pianist and composer Peter Cincotti’s fourth album, 'Metropolis', might be perceived as a sharp left turn from the jazz-focused, boy-crooner sound that established his career in America a decade ago. But Cincotti has been living something of a musical double life, as his last record of all original pop songs went gold in Europe, reaching the top of radio charts alongside the likes of Rihanna and Coldplay. Cincotti sees his latest release, 'Metropolis', as more evolutionary than revolutionary, marking his continuance along a musical path that he started mapping as early as age three.

Fans of electronic rockers Muse had a bit of a shock when the trailer for their forthcoming new album ‘The 2nd Law’ revealed ’Unsustainable’, a track heavily influenced by dubstep - leaving some unhappy, some pleasantly surprised, and some were rather confused. If you were one of the unhappy ones, you’re in luck - because frontman Matt Bellamy has revealed that ‘Unsustainable’ is the ‘only track like that’ - and that the rest of the album is ‘very, very diverse’.
