Emily Jane White, confirms a UK tour in September, following the release of her second album, Victorian America, this summer.
Emily Jane White continues to write sad songs by her own admission, stating. “I don’t write happy music. I’m drawn to writing sad songs. Reflective, contemplative songs. I truly believe that that’s my job. It’s not my job to create happy music. I’m okay with that.”
Her first album, Dark Undercoat, was called a masterpiece, by fans and critics, this new album hopes to follow up on that success and take her music further. “I pushed myself a little bit further in terms of song writing," White notes, “and the arrangements were more of a collaboration between everyone involved in the band. Fortunately this group of people allowed for a lot of experimentation. It was an incredibly organic and enjoyable process.”
