Hide the sugar! Twins John and Edward Grimes, otherwise known as Jedward, are coming to a city near you having just announced a new UK tour for November.
Despite nobody buying their songs, Jedward made a huge impact on the UK’s eardrums in 2009. Hitting the spotlight whilst appearing on the 6th series of X Factor, the two-man apocalypse have somehow gone on to arrange a tour across the UK for November.
Bringing their poorly-mimed, stupidly-danced, attention-deficit-disorder pop crap to an unlucky seventeen venues around the country, fans will get the chance to see the duo perform hits such as ‘Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby)’, a track which saw the pair perform alongside US rapper Vanilla Ice to send their debut single to Number Two in the UK chart.
Many of Jedward’s various pop songs are expected to feature on the tour set-list, including ‘Ghostbusters,’ ‘Fight For Your Right (To Party)’, ‘Rock DJ’ and apparently ‘Teenage Kicks’, god knows what they have done to it…
The tour is titled ‘Planet Jedward’ after the release of their debut album of the same name, with the first show taking place in Glasgow on November 8th. The show will then continue across the country before we can all breathe a sigh of relief following the last show in London on November 29th.
