Guns N' Roses Warned Not To Be Late For Reading And Leeds Festival

Guns N’ Roses have been warned that they must stick to a “very strict curfew” at this year’s Reading and Leeds festival, otherwise thier power will be cut.

Telling rock music giants Guns N’ Roses what to do is no easy thing to do, however the once most dangerous band in rock n’ roll has been warned that they must not be late on stage at their Reading and Leeds festival appearances this weekend, otherwise someone will pull the plug.

The warning comes after Guns N’ Roses landed the festival organisers in a heap of trouble eight years ago. Headlining the 2002 twin-sited festival, Guns N’ Roses showed up on stage over two hours late for their performance at the Leeds site. Festival organiser Melvin Benn is the brave man who announced that if Axl Rose and Co try to pull the same stunt this year “the performance just won’t happen”.

Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, Benn continued to explain that the continuation of future festivals would be under real threat if any band decided to disregard the curfew.

“I’ve had a very heavy warning from the local councils. There is a curfew – it’s a very strict curfew. We got away with it once. We won’t get away with it for a second time.”

As long as there are no further hoax announcements on Axl Rose’s Twitter page, Guns N’ Roses will be festival headliners on the Friday night at Reading (August 27th) and the Sunday night at Leeds (August 29th). The other headline acts include Arcade Fire and Blink-182.
