Sky Parade To Headline Second Together We Can Walk On Water Event & Tickets

US indie rockers Sky Parade will headline the second Together We Can Walk On Water event taking place at The Macbeth in London on Wednesday 13th October 2010. Also on the bill are The Koolaid Electric Company, The See See and The Superimposers.

The first Together We Can Walk On Water event took place earlier this year (July 1st) and featured Canadian indie rock band Elephant Stone. The event was a sell out, and the promoters are expecting the same from the October event, with the pull of Sky Parade ensuring ticket sales will be swift.

Sky Parade frontman Tommy Dietrick spent his teenage years playing in the 90s shoegaze scene in San Francisco, frequently touring up and down the west coast with Brian Jonestown Massacre (BJM) between 1991-95. Whilst at first resisting several requests by scene figurehead Anton Newcombe to join BJM fulltime, Tommy finally succumbed to the gravitational pull of BJM’s magic and joined them as a fundamental part of the musical commune between 2000-2004, before forming Sky Parade in late 2004.

Spotting their obvious talent Sky Parade have since toured with The Seeds, Black Angels, The Dandy Warhols, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Bluetones, Frank Black, James, Mark Gardener of Ride and a myriad of other like-minded bands, whilst in 2009 Robby Krieger of the Doors asked Tommy to play in his band Treehouse, a massive privilege and a personal highlight in Tommy’s escalating music career.

Tickets for Sky Parade at The Macbeth are onsale now, priced from £5.00 plus booking fees.
