Neil Diamond Joins Sir Elton John & Robert Plant For Electric Proms 2010

Veteran singer Neil Diamond has been announced as the final headlining act for this year's BBC Radio 2 Electric Proms in London.

The legendary singer-songwriter will be joining the star-studded line up for the concerts taking place from Thursday 28th to Saturday 30th October. So far the bill for the Radio 2 Electric Proms already includes Sir Elton John and Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant, who will be performing songs from his recently released 'Band of Joy' album.

Playing on the Saturday night, Neil Diamond will close the three-night event at London's intimate Roundhouse venue. The singer is set to showcase the songs he loves as well as performing his own back catalogue of sing-a-long songs like 'I’m A Believer', 'Sweet Caroline' and 'I Am...I Said'.

The show is set to broadcast live on Radio 2 at 8pm, before being shown on BBC Two as part of 'A Night With Neil Diamond' on November 13th. The televised show is also to include an exclusive documentary about Neil's music career, and an interview with the man himself.

Neil Diamond will join a long list of stars set to perform at the Electric Proms 2010. Other acts confirmed for the bill include Leon Russell, Plan B, and Rumer, who will appear on the first night, and Patty Griffin, and London Oriana Choir confirmed for the Friday.

Additional acts as well as ticket details are to be announced in the coming weeks.
