The Prodigy To Headline Snowbombing 2011

As the summer festival season hangs up her wellies for another year and we wave a sad goodbye to those long evenings, things at Snowbombing HQ are already hotting up as we unleash our biggest headline act to date for 2011!

Tearing through the Austrian mountains like demonic snow cheetahs and unleashing their own brand of chest-beating, no-nonsense, fire-starting profanity like musical napalm over the forest crowd will be none other than metal rave legends The Prodigy!

Effortlessly withstanding the test of time, The Prodigy boys are as fresh as they were when they started out and still as popular! Expect a high - octane mix of blinding strobes, smoke, adrenaline and pure tribal invigoration - old school stylee, as they treat lucky Snowbombers to a truly gob-smacking once in a lifetime high altitude performance.

After going out with a bang at Bestival this year, it only seems right that they should open the festival season in 2011. Brace yourself for the most explosive act the Forest party has ever seen (lets just hope they don’t burn it down)!

Snowbombing founder, Gareth Cooper says “This is the biggest band we have ever had at Snowbombing and it shows our commitment to growing the festival each year with people and talent. We are really proud to have The Prodigy  playing in one of our amazing venues – a forest clearing with wooden stage surround by the snow topped mountains of the alps in Mayrhofen. We have pushed the boat out for the 5000 people that go to the festival, this is just the start, the rest of the lineup that we will be announcing over the coming weeks is going to be equally impressive showing that pound for pound Snowbombing is one of the most unique festivals in the world”

The Prodigy will sit atop a mountain of talent which will shine in surely some of the most unique and unusual venues on the festival circuit – sky high igloo villages, forest clearings, mountain stages, traditional wooden barns and open-air street parties provide a perfect festival frame for more fantastic acts to be announced very shortly.
