Sonic Boom Six, or SB6, are a group who, in the tradition of UK punk bands such as The Specials, The Clash and King Prawn, push the musical envelope by mixing contemporary underground sounds of the UK with a rocking live show and educational lyrics. Although there really is no-one else quite like these energetic ragga muffins. Expect a variety, from hiphop beats to summer vibes and skacore riffs, this band have it all.
Making noise since 2002, Sonic Boom Six have delivered their brand of fused metal, ska and punk-pop through the release of three albums so far. They have also released a good amount of EPs singles too. Compilation album ' Rude Awakening' is set for release on October 25th, a project that has seen the band trawl their back catalogue of 'Piggy in the Middle', 'Back 2 School' and 'Sound of a Revolution' for 17 songs to re-surface via the forthcoming collection album.
The band will embark on a UK tour this Winter, kicking-off in Southampton on December 2nd. The tour continues around England, with one show in Scotland, before concluding in York on December 14th. More dates could be announced soon, so check back to Stereoboard for updates.
