New electro rock act, Scarlletta has announced the release of her debut EP, 'Sinful' on 25th October. She will be playing a series of gigs around the release including, Proud in Camden on the 28th September, The Troubadour, Earls Court on 8th October and Tommy Flynns, Camden on 28th November. The band will also be holding a launch party at London’s 229, The Venue on 21st October.
The EP showcases two tracks, 'Sinful' and 'Be My Bitch', offering a sneak preview to what we can expect from her album in 2011. Both tracks were produced by Andy Hayman (Sugarbabes, Appleton, Ronan Keating).
Taking influence from the likes of Debbie Harry, Madonna and Gwen Stefani, the tracks are edgy and full of sparkling attitude and energy. You can have a listen to the tracks here.
Here is what Scarlletta had to say about the EP. “It's taken a year or so of development and of making plenty of ruthless decisions to get the right sound that everyone in our band is happy with. Along the way I had to follow my instinct and figure out who to trust: who involved in the project was concerned about the music and who had alterior motives. The EP marks our band coming together and me realising the future of Scarlletta. It's a celebration of where we are now and what's to come.”
Scarlletta was a finalist in Live & Unsigned in 2010 and a semi finalist in last seasons’ Must Be The Music. She is now due to appear in the new Louie Spence documentary and follow on from Pineapple Dance Studios, 'Showbusiness'.
