Katy Perry Releases Trailer For New Single 'Firework'

Katy Perry will be setting off on her biggest World tour soon and returns to UK shores in March 2011. She will be extending her new album's Cotton Candy theme to the Live shows, so it's sure to be an utterly mesmerizing and unique experience for fans. Katy says. "I hope that it's going to engage all of your senses: sight, sound, smell, taste, touch".
On November 15th Katy is set to return with her new single 'Firework'. The single is one of Katy's personal favourites from her new album 'Teenage Dream'. Just like its title, the sing fizzes and bursts, rising up to glorious string laden exploding chorus. “‘Firework’ is the most important song for me on the record because I feel like this song can be adapted by so many different people in so many different situations in their lives,” said Katy Perry.
Katy Perry provided more than 250 winning fans with the once-in-a-lifetime chance to participate in her official music video for ‘Firework’. Travelling by bus, plane, car or train, the largest amount of fans to ever be a part of a music video gathered in Budapest at the end of September to share in this memorable opportunity provided by the partnership between Katy Perry and Deutsche Telekom. The documentary-style TV commercial follows select winners from leaving their doorsteps to their arrival in Budapest and participation in the video with Katy and hundreds of other recruited fans.
Despite her singles, 'California Gurls’ and 'Teenage Dream' being released in June and August respectively, they still sit in the Top 10 of the UK Radio Airplay chart. All three singles come from her new album 'Teenage Dream' has sold over 1.7 million globally. Whilst more than 10 million singles, tracks and videos have been sold worldwide. The album is the follow-up to Perry’s blockbuster debut ‘One Of The Boys’, which has sold five million copies worldwide.
