Black Country Communion Confirm Two December UK Shows & Tickets

Black Country Communion, the critically acclaimed rock supergroup featuring vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Trapeze, Black Sabbath), award-winning blues-rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa, drummer Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin, Foreigner) and keyboardist Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Billy Idol), today confirmed they will perform two long-awaited UK concerts in December.

Fittingly, the first concert will take place right in the heart of the Black Country at the legendary Wolverhampton Civic Hall on Wednesday 29th December, followed by a concert at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Thursday 30th December.

If you haven’t heard of Black Country Communion, have you been living under a rock? To give you an idea of how good this band are, their self-titled debut album hit the charts at #5 in the Official UK Midweek Album Chart, and upon the first week of release scored a hat-trick by charting #13 in the Official UK Album Chart, #1 in the Official UK Rock Album Chart, and #2 in the Official UK Independent Album Chart.

The band were originally formed when producer Kevin Shirley (Black Crowes, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin) saw Glenn Hughes and Joe Bonamassa join forces on stage in Los Angeles in November 2009 for an explosive performance at Guitar Center’s King of the Blues event. Shirley recruited powerhouse drummer Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin, Foreigner) and keyboardist Derek Sherinian (Dream Theatre, Billy Idol, Alice Cooper) and Black Country Communion were born!

The band’s name is derived from the industrial area in the British Midlands where both Hughes and Bonham were born and raised.

Black Country Communion will play the following UK shows:

29th Civic Hall, Wolverhampton
30th O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, London
