R&B superstar Usher has revealed that he has a soft spot for Britain’s favourite geordie (sorry Gazza), Cheryl Cole. In an interview this week, Usher revealed that she was extremely welcoming when he came to perform on the X Factor, supposedly visiting his dressing room on more than one occasion to wish him luck.
In the interview with a British magazine, Usher declared: "Cheryl is so pretty. I spent a little time with her in England last month at X Factor. I'm sure she's gonna make it in the States. She's got it going on.”
The ‘OMG’ star said that he was keen for Cole to join him on stage when he arrives in London on his UK tour: "I want her on stage for sure. It will be really nice, if she has time. She got moves. Afterwards. maybe we can have a roast dinner, or we'll get Newcastle Brown Ale. That's what you guys like, right?"
Usher also admitted that he has his sights on inviting Susan Boyle to perform with him. He added: "What kind of rock you think I live on? I want SuBo to open for me in Scotland. I saw her on YouTube doing Pride of Britain. She can hit some notes - we'll shock people."
With two Number One albums and a huge fanbase under her belt now, Usher may have a hard time recruiting the Scottish anti-diva for his large OMG tour. Whatever the outcome, his visit to the UK next year will certainly be one to watch out for.
Usher will play the following tour dates:
January 2011
26th MEN Arena, Manchester
27th NIA Arena, Birmingham
29th SECC Arena, Glasgow
30th Echo Arena, Liverpool
February 2011
2nd O2 Arena, London
3rd O2 Arena, London
17th O2 Arena, London
20th MEN, Manchester
23rd Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield
24th Echo Arena, Liverpool
