You Animals To Give Away EP At Christmas

As a special Christmas present to everyone who's signed up to their mailing list, You Animals are giving away an EP of alternate versions of some of the tracks from their forthcoming debut album - due Spring 2011 via This Is Fake DIY Records.

The EP was recorded with Biff of The Little Explorer and Crash of Rhinos while they were snowed in, inside an old recording studio in a Victorian mill. The Christmas spirit - along with a few others - flowed, and they emerged from the (snow) storm with a handful of completely different takes on a few of their favourite tracks from the record.

This could be the only chance you'll get to hear a sea shanty-style version of current single 'What You Want/What You Need' or a Destiny's Child-influenced take on new song 'What A Shame, Lorraine'.

It will be made available to download for nothing on Christmas Day to everyone who signs up to their mailing list before Christmas Eve. To sign up, click HERE if you're quick you'll also get 'What You Want/What You Need' immediately as a bonus.

They'll be playing these new versions at a special gig on 18th December in Derby as part of a charity all-dayer (details: www.last.fm/event/1751923+Pennyfest stage time 5.30pm), then a full band show follows on 19th December at Vines Bar in Derby with support from The Souvenirs (details: www.songkick.com/concerts/7511106-you-animals-at-vines).
