Michael Jackson Duets With Akon For New Single And Video

Michael Jackson has yet again set new standards in the music world – in two different ways.

Today, the deceased pop legend showcased a new single, including a music video to go with it, on his website. The track, a duet with Akon, is titled ‘Hold My Hand’ and will be released on the 13th of December.

The video was shot by renowned film director Mark Pellington in California, and includes images of Jackson, Akon and shots of Jacko fans celebrating the stars legacy. Pellington is happy with the film, saying “The video is a tribute to all that Michael stands for - life, in all its permutations...love, and its power... A video of memory, healing and joy.”

But, that’s not all Jacko has been up to recently.
He has also now broken a world record for the world’s biggest album poster ever.

The huge poster measures in at an incredible 29,070²ft, smashing the previous record by 110 square foot. The massive PVC piece of artwork weighs an incredible one ton and took engineers three hours to install. The poster is so big in fact, that if laid on the floor at Wembley, it would take up ¾ of the pitch.

Tarika Vara, a Guinness World Records invigilator, said Tarika Vara, Guinness World Records adjudicator, said:“This is a massive achievement and it brings me great pleasure to confirm that with this new world record, Michael Jackson's 'Michael' has earned its place in history. This poster has not only achieved incredible scale but it has combined this with intricate detail and having seen it up close I can confirm that the quality of the image is fantastic. Michael Jackson already holds a number of Guinness World Records and we are thrilled to award another title to the King of Pop.”

This is Jackson’s fourth world record, already the current holder of Best Selling Album for ‘Thriller’, Highest Annual Earnings for a Popstar in 1989 (still unbroken 21 years later), and Most Hit Singles in the Uk Top 40 Chart in One Year in 2006.
