Fleet Foxes, Warpaint and Bring Me The Horizon for Norway’s Øya Festival 2011

Fleet Foxes, Warpaint and Bring Me The Horizon are among the first few acts to be confirmed for this year’s Øya Festival in Oslo, the capital city of Norway. Other bands included in the line-up so far are alt-country legends the Jayhawks and Texan post-rockers Explosions in the Sky.
The 2011 event will take place from the 9th to the 13th of August and follows last year’s Øya Festival, which saw performances from the likes of Pavement, MIA, Iggy and the Stooges, the Flaming Lips, the xx and the Specials. The first Øya Festival was held in Oslo in 1999, when it attracted a modest crowd of 1000 people. It has since become one of the biggest events on the Norwegian musical calendar and draws around 60,000 festival goers each year.
