European music festival SOS 4.8 has announced that MGMT, The Editors, and These New Puritans have all been added the line-up at the event, which promises ’48-hour nonstop music’.
The fourth edition of the festival will take place on the 6th and 7th May in Murcia city centre. Having already confirmed Suede, White Lies, Everything Everything, !!!, Two Door Cinema Club and We have Band, this year’s SOS 4.8 festival offers one of the strongest line-ups across the European festival circuit. In addition to music, the festival also offers a space for Contemporary Art Exhibitions, Conferences and Workshops.
The Editors, who will be releasing their new album ‘Unedited’ at the end of this month, will perform their new material at the festival. These New Puritans will take their show ‘Hidden Live’ to the festival’s Auditorium, where the band will be joined by a 15-piece orchestra and chorus.
And even with the announcement of three more big acts, a festival spokesperson has said ‘More exciting bands, events and activities will be announced soon!’ Previous editions sold out and have included acts such as Franz Ferdinand, Hot Chip, The Horrors, PJ Harvey, The Prodigy, Peaches and 2ManyDJs.
With the line-up so far featureing Suede, White Lies, These New Puritans, MGMT, Editors, Everything Everything, !!!, Two Door Cinema Club, We Have Band, The Bloody Betroots Death Crew 77, Crookers, Yann Tiersen., Trentemøller, Arizona Baby, Vetusta Morla, Hola a Todo el Mundo, Lori Meyers, Mujeres, Standstill and Varry Brava, it looks set to be a big two days already. The festival kicks off on the 6th of March and finishes late on the 7th.
