The Warehouse Project Announce Easter 2011 Line-up

The Warehouse Project are set to return this Easter with the fifth instalment of their annual Guerrilla-style club nights, located in the heart of Manchester. This year’s opening long weekend sees key dance artists 2manydjs, Aeroplace, Andy C, Steve Angelo and Skream all grace the makeshift stage to celebrate half a decade of the innovative venture.
The project began in late 2006 as three event organisers set out to revolutionise Manchester’s club scene by creating make-shift venues, experimenting with the best artists in the most unexpected locations. Little did they know that the project would spark a movement not only nationwide but all across Europe, as clubbers latched on the concept of spontaneous dance nights all across the continent.
Five years later and the project is back with a bigger line-up than ever. The project will return from its half-decade celebrations, taking refuge in their temporary home in Store Street once again. The 2011 event will begin on Thursday 21st April, with a host of major dance names including Aeroplane, Mixhell and the night’s headliners 2manydjs. Friday will be headlined dance pioneer Andy C, set to please audiences with his big drum n’ bass beats. Supporting on the night will be dubstep veteran Skream and Jakwob.
The long weekend of entertainment will continue on Saturday 23rd April, which will be set aside to celebrate 20 years of the independent label Planet-E Communications. Fronting the Festivities will be a rare live performance from LBS, the trio of Laurent Garnier, Benjamin Rippert and Stephanie ‘Scan X’ Dri. As if that weren’t enough for the night’s entertainment, also set to perform are Carl Craig and Space Dimension Controller.
Sunday night will celebrate the 5th anniversary of Size Matters, headlined by Steve Angelo (of Swedish House Mafia fame), his brother (and collaborator) AN21 and Max Vangeli.
Tickets will be priced at £17.50 (advance) on all nights except Thursday, which will be £20 (advance). This year’s event will be running at Store Street, directly underneath Manchester Picadilly Train Station. For more information visit www.thewarehouseproject.com
